USAEE 2022 Virtual Case Competition
The United States Association for Energy Economics (USAEE) Virtual Case Competition is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for student teams to apply their knowledge of economics, engineering, and policy analysis.
Participants will demonstrate their skills and ideas for potential employers, contribute to solving challenges in the field of energy economics, and compete for monetary prizes.
Participating teams will work on the designated case problem over a period of three weeks and submit a written report detailing their methods and solution to USAEE.
The two teams with the best solutions will be invited to present their results at a virtual event in mid-October 2022. The competition winners and runners up will be invited to attend the 39th USAEE/IAEE North American Conference October 23-26 in Houston, Texas with registration fees waived to receive their prizes at the Awards Luncheon on October 24.
The prizes will be:
- $3,500 for the first-place team
- $2,500 for second-place team
The competition is open to students from all over the world.
Teams need not be USAEE/IAEE members to register and send in an entry. Any combination of students is permitted (mixed majors, mixed undergrad/grad, mixed universities). For additional details, refer to the registration form. Team registration forms must be submitted by July 29, 2022.
